Dear customers, friends, and fans! During the last weekend, ERA-IX Amsterdam hit a new traffic record of 1544 Gbps! This is a great achievement that makes us the third-largest internet exchange in the Netherlands. Fully bootstrapped, debt-free, investor-free, and sovereign, operated by a small company from the countryside. ERA-IX was founded in 2022, and this traffic peak was reached by only consuming ± 3 kW (this excludes ERA-IX Frankfurt, which consumes around 1.6 kW).

For those who don't know, our peering LANs are separate. So the Amsterdam statistics only represent members connected on our Amsterdam peering LAN. The upcoming year 2026 will be great, with more new features, locations and partnerships.
